چکیده
Since centrifugal pumps consume a mammoth amount of energy in various industrial applications, their design and optimization are highly relevant to saving maximum increasing the system’s efficiency. In current investigation, pump has been designed optimized. The study carried out for specific application transportation slurry at flow rate 120 m3/hr head 20 m. For process, multi-objective genetic algorithm (MOGA) response surface methodology (RSM) have employed. process is based on mean line pump. It utilizes six geometric parameters as variables, i.e., number vanes, inlet beta shroud, exit hub blade draft, Rake angle, impeller’s rotational speed. objective functions employed power, hydraulic efficiency, volumetric this reference, five different software packages, ANSYS Vista, DesignModeler, software, CFX, were coupled achieve optimized geometry. Characteristic maps generated using simulations conducted 45 points. Additionally, erosion was predicted 3-D numerical under conditions. Finally, transient behavior pump, being highlight study, evaluated. Results suggest that fluctuation local pressure stresses cases correspond phase angle 0°–30° casing turn corresponds rates region.

Optimization of Centrifugal Casting Parameters of AlSi Alloy by using the Response Surface Methodology
Centrifugal casting is one of the advanced casting branches widely used in the metallurgical industry in which the centrifugal force helps strengthen the workpiece material. The present work attempt to study the effect of the horizontal and vertical centrifugal casting parameters included the centrifugal mold rotation speeds and G-factors values on the quality of the product. The work has been ...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Optimization of Moving Wingin Ground Effect using Response Surface Method
Optimization of the sectional wing in ground effect (WIG) has been studied using ahigh order numerical procedure and response surface method (RSM). Initially, the effects of the ground clearance, angle of attack, thickness, and camber of wing have been investigated by a high-resolutionscheme, which is highlystrong and accurate. In the numerical simulation, Normalized Variable Diagram (NVD) sche...
متن کاملImpeller and volute design and optimization of the centrifugal pump with low specific speed in order to extract performance curves
Now a day centrifugal pumps are vital components of industries. Certainly, one of the most important specifications of centrifugal pumps are the performance curves. In the present work, performance curves of a centrifugal pumps are obtained by Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and as an outcome, CFD results compare by practical curves. At the first step impeller and volute are designed with tw...
